The worst foods that causes weight gain
There have been numerous studies that have been talking about “The worst foods for your body”. They are bad for sure, but everything depends on the quantity and frequency in which you consume them. However it is best if you try to eliminate such foods from your diet. It would help you reduce weight, cholesterol and have more energy throughout the day. Below are some foods notorious for weight gain(starting from greatest or most dangerous):
Fries are surely delicious but also are one of the most harmful foods for your body. They are addictive as well. every extra serving of fries eaten in a day was linked to a gain of more than three pounds. Preparing them at home helps, but only a little.
Certainly they are an excellent snack for an appetizers, get-together, or a small bite before dinner. They carry lots of oil and salt that in turn causes weight gain. They don’t satiate hunger and are thus people consume them in large quantities. Women are the greatest victim to this and they should follow some weight loss diet plan for women.
Sweetened drinks are no less. Consuming one or two of them not only causes weight gain, but also takes glucose levels in the blood to the roof. Diet sodas or not, doesn’t matter.
Pork surely is good for your taste buds. But, Eating too much beef or pork causes weight gain and could also increase your cholesterol due to the fat contained therein.
They carry a lot of saturated fats, calories, sodium and coloring just like sausages. They are not healthy for children nor for adults and consuming them is not advisable at all.

If we set aside the potatoes, we discussed earlier, other deep fried foods or foods fried in oil are damaging for the body. Mostly those that are purchased in restaurants and food stands, more so than home cooked. Consider replacing them with any sort of breaded meat or chicken, veggies etc.
Prepared fruit juices
Even the juices that are labelled at 100% natural are usually not , as they contain too much sugar to truly prove healthy and thus causes weight gain . Also they contain a lot of artificial colors and preservatives that are also harmful for the body.
The fats used to prepare butter make this bad for the body and skin. Generally people consuming butter or mayonnaise generally have more acne or oil on their faces. It has proven to raise cholesterol levels too.
Other “bad” foods that causes Weight Gain
Apart from the the above worst foods that causes weight gain, Here are some others that should be avoided to consume frequently:
- Pastas especially if made with white flour. A moderate amount once a week would not cause any damage. However if you have it everyday with all the sauces, creams and the cheese and fatty contents. Everything loaded with carbohydrates causes weight gain.
- Salad or meat dressings: This group contains mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, Caesar’s salads amongst others. They contain a lot of salt and fat, which make triglyceride levels shoot up.
- Chocolates : we need to make a few exceptions here. For example, bitter chocolate that contains more cacao is not harmful (if eaten with care, of course). But the commercial ones have added sweeteners that are not healthy for the body and causes weight gain.
